Saws For A Cause is a group of talented chain saw artists dedicated to sharing our time and our chainsaw carving skills at fund-raising events to benefit a charity or other community cause.
Through our carving, we uncover the endless works of art that lie hidden in a simple log. This is our passion. Through our sharing, we hope to help uncover the endless generosity that often lies hidden in our communities.
We have a lot of fun as we create our wood sculptures, and our unique use of the common chainsaw is entertaining to watch. Adults and children alike are fascinated as an eagle, a bear or "whatever" emerges from both the wood and our artist's vision.
Because our venue is unique, it's sure to draw people and media to your fund-raising event. Eight to ten carvers can produce a whole collection of pieces by the end of your event. These pieces can be auctioned to raise donations for your worthy cause. It's not often possible to watch a piece of art go from start to finish in front of your eyes, and then take it home with you!
Our group of carvers has been "sawing for a cause" for a number of years. The fund-raisers have been so successful that some have become annual events. A few of the causes we have participated in include:
- Make A Wish Foundation
- Timber Wolf Preservation Society
- Richfield Fire Department
- The Becky Werner Meningitis Foundation
- Habitat for Humanity-Walworth County
- Salvation Army-Army Lake Camp
Your cause can be big or small. Booking our carvers is a fun and affordable way to attract and encourage good-hearted people to donate to your worthy cause. At this time we are limiting our availability to Wisconsin and to 100 miles outside of the Wisconsin border.
